Billionaire liquor Vijay Mallya has lashed out at media owners, who he thinks have indulged in ‘lies’ against him. He took to twitter and reminded media owners about various favors that he provided to them in the past.
He singled out at Arnab Goswami, the editor-in-chief of Times Now (without naming him) and said that he needs to eat prison food and be in prison clothes for his absolutely sensational lies, slander, deceit and libel. He further expressed anger over how media houses resort to lies for gaining TRP.
He wrote that he is an international businessman and travels to India quite frequently. He didn’t flee from India and neither was he an absconder. As an Indian MP, he completely respects and complies with the law of the land. The judicial system is sound and has to be respected.
Mallya was quite surprised as to how even banks weren’t aware of his assets. He stated that news wants him to declare his assets. Does this mean that banks don’t know about his assets or don’t look at his Parliamentary disclosures?
This ire of Mallya comes after the non-stop coverage by Times Now that the liquor baron defaulted on Rs.9,000 crore before he fled. It included interviews of former employees of Kingfisher Airlines too. Sanjay Bahadur, an employee stated that often senior journalists and high-profile politicians accompanied Mallya to exotic locations on his expense.
