We all have seen fast unto death, rallies, candle lit marches, violent curfew hours and many more protesting tools. But amidst all these, the very unique one led by the tribal villagers of Jharkhand in the poop protest against Modi’s land reform policy.
Around 60 villagers excreted in front of the Barwadih block office in Naxal-affected Latehar on the copies of the amended bill of land acquisition act. They villagers feel that the proposed bill stinks and they wanted to put across the message very clearly to the government. The group of villager plan to perform the same activity throughout Jharkhand if there plea get unnoticed and unheard.
The protestor want the “Consent clause “to be removed and demands the reinstatement of a social impact assessment when land is acquired for big projects. But now any changes in the bill requires approval from the Parliament and the opposition is planning to stop it in the Rajya Sabha where they have an upper hand compared to BJP. The ordinance lapses on 5th April, 2015.
