After Shane Warne, Twitter Roasts Michael Vaughan For Saying Chennai Pitch Isn’t Good For Test

The Indian cricket team has made a great comeback in the ongoing four match test series against England after getting defeated in the first test match. The Indian team has won the second test match by 317 runs after the Indian bowlers dismissed the England team for just 164 runs in their second innings. There is no doubt that the Indian side has proved themselves better than the England team whether it is batting or bowling. The Indian squad won the toss and decided to bat first and posted a good total of 329 runs on the board. The Indian opener Rohit Sharma played a splendid innings of 161 runs and Ajinkya Rahane and Rishabh Pant also played brilliant knocks of 67 and 58, respectively.

The England team was not able to repeat the success of the first test match and their whole batting line-up was back in the pavilion for just 134 runs in the first innings. In the second innings also, the Indian team batted in a nice manner and made a score of 286 runs with the help of Ravichandran Ashwin’s century and Virat Kohli’s useful knock of 62. The Indian bowlers performed superbly in England’s second innings also and bowled the whole team out for just 164. What makes this victory bigger is that the Indian side has won the match with more than one and a half day remaining in the test match.

Ravichandran Ashwin has been adjudged as the Player of the Match for his all-round performance as he took 8 wickets including a five wicket haul in the match along with the century that he scored in the second innings.

For the last couple of days, many former England cricketers are trying to prove that the pitch of the Chennai stadium on which the second test match has been played is not a good one. Michael Vaughan, the former English cricketer who has the reputation of being critical towards the Indian cricket team, has once again faced wrath of the Indian Twitterati after he called the pitch not a good one. He also called the pitch a shocker and not suitable for 5 days of a test match. However, he also accepted the fact that India has played well so he is not making any excuse.

Michael Vaughan’s tweet read, “It’s entertaining cricket as things are happening all the time but let’s be honest this Pitch is a shocker .. Not making any excuses as India have been better but this isn’t a Test Match 5 day prepared Pitch … #INDvENG”

Not just the Indian cricket fans but former Aussie spinner Shane Warne also didn’t like the tweet by Michael Vaughan and he responded by saying that toss was more important in the first test match than the second one as the ball is turning from the day one in the second match while in the first test match, nothing happened for 2 days and then the ball started turning.

He added that the England bowlers should have restricted the Indian team at 220 and Rohit Sharma showed how to bat on this surface.

The Indian cricket lovers have roasted Michael Vaughan in the most epic way and here are some selected reactions that will make you go ROFL:
