The famous actor Akshay Kumar is certainly going through one of the toughest phases as far as his career is concerned as he has given back-to-back flops and his last release “Sarfira” is his 9th flop on a trot.
“Sarfira” also stars Radhika Madan, Paresh Rawal, etc. in important roles and it is a remake of Tamil movie “Soorarai Pottru” which starred Suriya in the lead role. “Sarfira” was directed by Sudha Kongara who also directed the Tamil version, while the Tamil movie was a hit, the Hindi version turned out to be a disaster. Akshay Kumar starrer has been made on a budget of Rs 100 crores approx. but it seems that it won’t be able to cross the Rs. 35 crores mark in terms of earnings.
Many feel that one of the reasons for Akshay giving flops is that he doesn’t give enough time to a project and he is often trolled for making 3-4 movies in a year.
Recently, Akshay Kumar responded to the trolling during an interaction with Gazal Alagh, the co-founder of MamaEarth which is a natural, toxin-free beauty and baby care brand.
Here’s what Akshay said, “Mujhe kehte hain ye chaar film kyu karta hai saal mein… isko ek film karni chahiye… chalo main ek picture kar leta hu baaki din kya karunga? Tere ghar mein aaun? Beta, yaad rakhna lucky are those people who get work. Yahan roz koi na koi bolta hai berozgaari chal rahi hai ye chal raha hai wo chal raha hai… jisko kaam mil raha hai usko toh karne do. (They say why he does four films a year… he should do just one film… okay, so I do one film, but what will I do for the rest of the days? Should I come to your house? Remember, lucky are those people who get work. Here, every day someone says there is unemployment, this is happening, that is happening… if someone is getting work, let them do it.)

Though “Sarfira” has failed at the box-office, the actors of the movie are getting praised for their performances and some fans of Akshay Kumar are counting it as one of his best performances.
