If you remember, fans of both the actors were filled with joy when they came to know about the movie and congratulatory messages were flooded on social media but a little later when people realised that there is a huge age gap between Salman and Alia, they started slamming the actors along with the director for such odd pairing. Some even went on to the extent of calling Alia Salman’s daughter and raised questions on their pairing.

Alia didn’t open up on this matter till now but recently while giving an interview to an entertainment portal, she said that she got excitement on being paired opposite Salman and not any criticism.

According to her, speculation is also good as it also increases the excitement but she is not bothered with it. She also adds that neither Salman nor Bhansali gets bothered by the criticism or speculation and the director has given some really great movies so they should trust his vision.

Alia is presently busy in the promotions of her upcoming movie “Kalank” which is going to release on 17th April, 2019 and stars Varun Dhawan, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sonakshi Sinha in prominent roles. After “Kalank”, she will be seen in “Brahmastra” in which she will share screen with her rumoured boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor. Other than this, she has some big projects lined up too including SS Rajamouli’s “RRR” in which she is starring with Ajay Devgn, Ram Charan and Jr NTR.
