Amitabh Bachchan has long been celebrated as the face of Indian cinema, a towering figure whose career spans decades of unforgettable performances. Beyond films, his deep connection with audiences comes alive through his writing, his personal reflections and especially his presence on television. It is here, on Kaun Banega Crorepati, that he has discovered a unique rhythm and meaning, one that continues to hold a special place in his life.
In his personal blog, the megastar recently reflects on his work schedule and the emotional energy that surrounds him. Sharing pictures of greeting his devoted fans whom he warmly calls his “extended family”, Amitabh Bachchan expresses gratitude for their unwavering affection. He describes their presence, even in harsh weather, as a blessing he can never forget, acknowledging that their love forms the very foundation of his being.
He also offers glimpses from the sets of Kaun Banega Crorepati, explaining how his routine often involves early mornings, long hours and tiring commutes. Yet he emphasises that his time on the show feels different. For him, the atmosphere on the KBC stage resembles a poetic experience, filled with recitations, understanding and shared emotions between the host and contestant. He reiterates that it is the people, the participants and the viewers who truly make the show, a truth he says he lives every day on set. Expressing humility, he writes that he hopes to remain worthy of the immense affection he continues to receive.
Amitabh Bachchan also highlighted the most honoured moment on the show, when he welcomed India’s Women’s Ice Hockey Team. The occasion marked a proud moment as he honoured the team for their bronze medal win at the Asian Games.
In his words, it was both a revelation and a privilege, as he admitted that many, including he himself, were unaware that India had a women’s ice hockey side. He was deeply moved by their struggles, their journey and their refusal to give up despite widespread doubts. For him, their story symbolised resilience, with the players proving wrong those who never believed in them.
Through these reflections, Amitabh Bachchan once again revealed why Kaun Banega Crorepati remains more than just a show for him, it is a poetic space where stories of perseverance, respect and love come together.
