Popularity brings a lot of perks but it also has its own complications and issues. The followers of a popular person have equal number of haters and lovers. While the lovers have positive tendencies, the haters try everything to hurt them.
Some of the popular personalities of India like veteran actor Anupam Kher, BJP leader Ram Madhav and journalist, MP Swapan Dasgupta faced the loss of being popular recently. Reportedly the Twitter accounts of above-mentioned personalities got compromised by a pro-Pakistani hackers group.

Anupam Kher who is currently in Los Angeles said he came to know about the matter through his friends in India. He told PTI-
“My Twitter account has been hacked. Just got few calls from friends in India about it. I am in Los Angeles and it is 1 am.”
Sharing more details, he said that he received a link from Swapan Dasgupta on his Twitter DM. Since it was the first time he received a message from Swapan he clicked on it. He was quoted as saying –
“Got a DM yesterday from Mr Swapan Dasgupta’s account about a link. A first from him. So opened it. Have spoken to Twitter already.”
Fortunately, the account of Anupam Kher has been restored now.
Senior Journalist Rahul Pandita tweeted that she also received a message from Swapan but didn’t click it.
I got it too, but did not open it. Beware, guys

So Anupam Kher clicked on a random link that resulted in hacking his account. Guys, make sure you don’t click any random link as that link can be spam and it can infect/hack your PC.
India’s former foreign secretary Nirupama Menon Rao also tweeted-
Had a similar DM from @kaushikcbasuTC . Ignored it, because looking at his timeline I found it had been commandered by some Turkish “independents” who were tweeting on the sit in Syria, etc.
