They both share a great bond and recently they watched the Hollywood movie “Oppenheimer” in a Chinese theatre after which AR Rahman invited Kamal Haasan for lunch.

During an interview, AR Rahman says that he feels Kamal Haasan has got trapped in the Indian film industry which is good for all of us but not for him. Rahman further says that 20 years back when Kamal Haasan had money, he should have gone to Hollywood and made a movie without being judgemental about the movie.

The Grammy award winning composer is also awestruck with Kamal Haasan’s knowledge of movies as he says that the actor still watches so many films and remembers every scene and on the other hand, he (Rahman) doesn’t have the patience to complete a movie.

They both have also watched “Godfather” together and recently the Indian actor made a post in which he is seen with AR Rahman. He captioned it with, “Boys in the wood!! Found a young man who is older than I am, and that’s why I keep young company.”

Despite sharing a strong bond, they both have worked together in just 2 movies, “Indian” and “Thenali” and their fans certainly want them to work more together as both of them are the experts of their field.
