If WhatsApp’s blue tick and Facebook’s last seen was not enough, Instagram has also followed the path of annoying the users with it’s “Active Now” feature.
Yes, now the much popular photo-sharing app Instagram also tells your friend when you are active.
The feature has just been released and the users are already criticising it because it will help stalkers and most importantly it’s like a curse for committed people.
The option is available in the direct messaging box where it gives the status of a user’s activity along with the chat thread.

However, there’s obviously a way out. You can opt out and disable the feature if you don’t want to share your Activity Status with people. This is how you can do it.
1. Tap the “Options” feature on the Top Right corner of the App.
2. Scroll to the bottom till you see the option of deselecting Activity Status.
3. Deselect it.
Instagram now non-consensually shares your last active state to everyone. This is dangerous if you have a stalker (which most women on the on Instagram have experienced)
