We are living in a free country and it’s 2018 but people are still not free to celebrate love. Like every year, even this year couples were stopped from celebrating Valentines Day as the members of Bajrang Dal created disturbance.
The so-called moral police think that Valentines Day is against our culture and heritage and that’s why they stage protests against it every year. This is what they did again and even harassed several couples.
As per Times Now reports, In Ahmedabad, self-proclaimed ‘moral police’ chased couples. The members of the Bajrang Dal harassed couples at the city’s Sabarmati Riverfront. They were later detained.
The reports have arrived from Hyderabad and Nagpur too where these people threatened to get the couples married if they visit the public places.
As per TOI, they claimed-
“If they have the right to celebrate Valentine’s Day, we have the right to protect our heritage.”
This is not the end, as something weirder happened in Chennai. The workers of the Bharat Hindu Front got a dog and a donkey married as a mark of protest.

Lucknow University was closed and the management declared a holiday on 14th Feb calling it a holiday for Mahashivratri. The students were barred from visiting the college campus. The university advisory claimed-
“In recent years, we have observed that students, influenced by western culture, celebrate Valentine’s Day on February 14. In this connection, students are notified that the university will be closed on February 14, 2018, for Mahashivratri.”

On the other hand, The Karnataka Rakshana Vedike organised the ‘marriage’ of two sheep and also urged the state government to provide Rs 50,000- 1 lakh to couples who marry for love.
A member Vatal Nagaraj said-
“We should not object to Valentine’s Day because love does not have any community or caste. Central government should declare one-day holiday for love. State government should give Rs 50,000 to 1 lakh to any couple who marry for love.”
