As per the reports, during an online meeting with the selectors which took place on Friday night, the star Indian batter Virat Kohli informed the selectors that he won’t be available for the remaining three matches. Earlier, Virat Kohli pulled out of the first two matches, which were played at Hyderabad and Vizag, citing personal reasons.

While Shreyas Iyer has been dropped from the team as he has been going through a lean phase, KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja have made a comeback but their participation will depend on the fitness clearance reports which will be given by the medical team. The Indian team certainly needs these two batters for the purpose of strengthening the middle-order, especially when Virat Kohli is not playing in the series.

The young cricketer Akash Deep has got the maiden call as he has replaced all rounder Saurabh Kumar and though Sarfaraz Khan hasn’t got the chance to play in the 2nd test match, he is still a part of the Indian team.

As far as the series is concerned, it is leveled at 1-1 with the visitors winning the Hyderabad test by 28 runs and hosts winning the Vizag test match by 106 runs. The remaining three test matches will be played at Rajkot, Ranchi and Dharmshala, respectively and the third test match will start from 15 Feb.

The Indian team will start training from 11 Feb at Rajkot and the England cricket team is currently in Abu Dhabi as the England cricketers wanted to spend some quality time with their family members during this 10-day gap.
