After the launch of smartphone “Freedom 251”, a lot has been said and discussed about it but do you know the person who has actually made it possible?
Mohit Goel is the Managing Director of Ringing Bells, the company which has come up with an Android Smartphone for just Rs. 251. Mohit’s father, Rajesh Goel, runs a grocery store in Garhipukhta, a small town in Shamli, Uttar Pradesh.
He tells this about his son “Mohit went to Noida and completed his graduation from Amity University. He had expressed his desire to open a company and I loaned him some money. Little did we know what it meant then. It’s really big, is it?”
Mohit is married to Dhaarna Goel who is also the CEO of Ringing Bells. Freedom 251 was launched in a program held in New Delhi on Thursday and the booking also started at 6am on Thursday but the website crashed due to heavy traffic; however, booking started from Friday again.
