CAUGHT ON CAMERA: BJP MLA Beats Up Man At JNU Court Hearing

The JNU incident took an uglier turn today when some lawyers and a BJP MLA attacked the students, teachers and reporters who were standing outside the Delhi court for Kanhaiya Kumar’s case. Kanhaiya is a student of JNU and has been charged with sedition; however, many opposition parties have criticized the step of arresting Kanhaiya.

BJP MLA O P Sharma’s video clip is going viral in which he is seen beating a student who is said to be a member of Left Union. He is also heard saying that anyone who will shout slogans in support of Pakistan “will be attacked.”

The lawyers have claimed that violence in the court started after a JNU student started fighting with a lawyer and later the situation got out of control when other lawyers joined the fight which resulted in thrashing teachers as well as reporters. In fact, the JNU professors have alleged that they have been physically molested in the court-room.
