Chahal Disclosed How His Wife Dhanashree Helped Him Deal With Tough Phase & Poor Form

The Indian cricket team for the ICC T20 World Cup has been announced some time ago by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Indian cricket lovers were quite surprised when they didn’t find the names of some key players such as Yuzvendra Chahal and Shikhar Dhawan in the 15-member list. The selectors decided to give chance to Ravichandran Ashwin, Rahul Chahar and Varun Chakravarthy instead of the spin duo of Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav who helped India win many matches with their lethal bowling.

Yuzvendra Chahal is going through a tough phase in his career as he has not been able to perform well either in international cricket or in the IPL 2021. Yuzi is an integral part of the IPL team, Royal Challengers Bangalore and in the IPL 2021, he was able to take only 4 wickets in 7 matches which is quite low as per his standards.

Recently, Yuzvendra Chahal interacted with former Indian cricketer and commentator Aakash Chopra on his YouTube channel in which he talked about his poor form and how his wife helped him in coping up with tough phase. Yuzi said that his poor performance in the IPL 2021 was troubling him but the conversation with his wife Dhanashree Verma helped him in dealing with the matter in a positive attitude.

As per Chahal, his wife says that his poor form is just a tough phase which will pass after some time and a bowler can’t take wickets all the time in his career. He also adds that it becomes tough for a bowler to dismiss the batsmen if they don’t play aggressive game in the short format. Yuzi tells Aakash Chopra that it feels really nice to be loved as he has got messages from people and it is the close ones who pick a person up when he is down.

Yuzi will certainly like to regain his form in the second leg of the IPL 2021 which is going to start from September 19 in UAE and we wish the cricketer luck!
