Have you ever heard of a church which has been under construction for as long as 134 years? Yes, you read it right!

La Sagrada Familia Basilica is one of the most popular landmarks of Barcelona, drawing tourists from across the world. Antoni Gaudí, a mastermind artist and architect not only designed this church but also gave it many years during construction. However, sadly enough, the dream project of Gaudí is still not completed.

Its construction began in the year 1882 and Antoni worked on it till 1926 and after his death, Basilica is left incomplete till now. Sagrada Familia’s size is so big that it’s frequently considered a “Cathedral” and by 2026, its completion is anticipated. If we believe several reports, the Church is not being constructed in its original design after its designer Antoni died. However, it still boasts some of the best and wonderful architecture of the world which certainly make it a must see attraction on your list if you get a chance to visit Barcelona.
