As the year 2015 was about to end, things turned out to be very ugly between Colors Channel and Kapil Sharma. No one must have ever imagined that the popular Colors’ show ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ would go off air. However, Kapil’s show being a highly popular one, got a replacement channel very easily.
Yes, Kapil Sharma came up with his new show ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, this time on the rival channel, Sony. This new show as expected got an amazing response and is constantly among top 5 shows in the TRP charts. Moreover, there is considerable improvement in the ranking of Sony too, thanks to the high viewership.
On the other hand, the rival show on Colors ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’, hosted by Krushna and Bharati isn’t enjoying the same popularity as Kapil’s show.
Mainly due to the roast format of ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’, even celebrities avoid coming on it. Remember how Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan skipped coming on the show for the promotions of ‘Rustom’ and ‘Mohenjo Daro’ respectively? Now, obviously, if there are no interesting elements in the show, the TRPs are bound to drop.
It seems Colors has realized its mistake and more than that, it has realized the ‘Kapil Power’. Do you know why we are saying this? This is because, last week Colors aired an old episode of ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’, thereby surprising everyone.
This was the episode that featured Salman Khan as the celebrity guest. However, this was not it; after that, it aired one more episode, wherein Kajol and SRK had come on the show for the promotions of ‘Dilwale’. Both these episodes enjoyed a power-packed viewership!
This might be an attempt of Colors to increase the falling TRPs, don’t you think so? Forget ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’, even other shows on Colors like ‘Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa 9′ and ’24 Season 2’ aren’t doing that great. So the channel is struggling and trying all ways to increase the TRPs. Even fans were pretty surprised by this and some of them took to Twitter to express their happiness!
