Finally, 2016 is coming to an end with the most awaited movie, Dangal. Obviously, since this is an Aamir Khan flick, everyone has loads of expectations. The movie seems to be a “Masterpiece” and people is appreciating the direction and engaging screenplay.
This is Aamir’s best performance throughout his career; however, this movie was successful even due to stupendous acting skills of Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sakshi Tanwar.
The choreography of the wrestling sequences was just so PERFECT! Already “Dangal” had broken the advance booking records on BookMyShow app and in multiplexes. But wait, that’s not it; not only has Dangal broken a record in the domestic market, but has also broken 4 overseas records.
1. Record no.1
The collections of Dangal on Friday have been biggest ever for any Hindi film in Middle East. The Gulf Box Office had already crossed the 1.5 million mark. Currently, it is at AED 6.15 million / USD 1.67 million.
2. Record No. 2
This is the first Indian film to get the highest opening at the US Box Office. It collected around USD 1.7 million.
3. Record No. 3
The box office collections have been very impressive in UK; highest for an Indian film. Currently, the collections are reported to be are GBP 314 K / USD 502 K.
4. Record No. 4
Even in Australia and New Zealand, Dangal broke the record and became the highest opener(Hindi film). The opening day collections are AUD 253 K / USD 182 K
