Chinese Smartphone makers Xiaomi, which was recently banned in India from selling, importing and advertising its products due to infringing on Ericsson’s Standard Essential Patents (SEPs) will now be able to sell their smartphones powered by Qualcomm chipsets till 8th January.
The following of Xiaomi’s phones are powered by Qualcomm chipsets — Mi 3, Redmi Note 4G and Redmi 1S.
As, Xiaomi is currently not selling Mi3, so there are chances that Redmi Note 4G and Redmi 1S will be on sale till the given time.
The ban on Xiaomi’s products was till February next year, but after this order from HC, Xiaomi will be able to sell their products till 8th January, but after this time interval, the ban will again be implemented.
