After a good start, Team Gujarat Lions starting falling in front of the leg spinner Imran Tahir & medium pacer Jaydev Unadkat who took 3 wickets each. Dinesh Karthik was the only hope left but even he couldn’t survive and the reason was Mahi.

Gujarat Lions scored 161 and went all out in 19.5 overs. Rising Pune Super Giants won the match by chasing the target at the cost of just 5 wickets. Ben Stokes led the team to victory by scoring 103 single handedly. On the other hand highest scorer in Gujarat Lions was Brendon McCullum at 45.
