When it comes to sensibility and aggression, Mahendra Singh Dhoni is known to be a great and rare combination. The former Indian captain, current batsman and wicketkeeper has proved to be a saviour of the team in several difficult situations.
His presence of mind, quickness in taking action is something not everyone in the game of cricket possesses. Dhoni has several talents for which every player of the team really respects him a lot.
Among all the talents and qualities, Dhoni has that one special talent through which he always judges the wicket very accurately. He has always been spot on with the DRS (Decision Review System) and that’s the reason everyone looks up to him before going for the review.
However this time Dhoni really missed the chance and ended up doing a big blunder.
It was the 3rd ODI match between India and Sri Lanka. Kuldeep Yadav was bowling and his delivery went on to hit the pads of Sri Lankan batsman Sadeera Samarawickrama. Dhoni and Kuldeep Yadav did a loud appeal but the umpire turned it down.
Kuldeep Yadav looked up to MS Dhoni for advice with respect to taking the review and it is here Dhoni decided the opposite.
However, the replay footage later clearly showed that it was an out and if they had gone for the DRS the situation might have been better for Team India.
