One more Indian cricketer is going to lose his bachelorhood in the month of August and step in a new phase, i.e., married life. We are talking about Dinesh Karthik who got engaged with Indian Squash Player Dipika Pallikal in 2013. Since then we didn’t hear a lot about them, as they didn’t want that and kept a low profile. But now the duo has decided to become husband and wife; so both the families have fixed the wedding dates and started making wedding arrangements.
Although, the marriage ceremonies will be private affair but there is something special in this marriage, the couple is going to get married Two Times; yes you heard it right, TWO TIMES. First, they will marry according to Christian tradition on August 18 and second time they will get married according to Hindu tradition in Telugu Naidu style on August 20.
This is what Sanjiv Pallikal, bride’s father told to a daily newspaper, “The Christian wedding will be held on August 18 and the Hindu wedding, in Telugu Naidu style, will take place on August 20. Both the wedding ceremonies will be held in Chennai. They are going to be private affairs. Dinesh’s parents and our family are currently discussing the other pre-wedding ceremonies.”
As per the reports published in a regional daily, Dipika will be wearing a gorgeous white gown for Christian style marriage and traditional yellow saree for the Hindu style marriage. A Mehendi function for her friends will be organized before wedding after the Mehendi ceremony which will be organized at Dipika’s house and it will be attended by her friends and contemporaries.
