We live in a country, which is one of the greatest democracy in the world. Where citizens should get the basic freedom to speak and to choose things for themselves.
But is it going that way? That is a question we should be asking ourselves too. Recently with the dominant political force, people saw the uprising of a so called revolt against eating beef.
It is not because we are taking away life of a living being. But because according to Hindu culture and religion cow is our mother, someone we should be worshiping and not eating.
So, here is an instance when Delhi born and brought up girl, Arunima Bhattacharya was questioned about her choice of food. She suddenly got a text from one her classmate.
That person accused Arunima that her preference for beef is similar to having incest.Being a free willed strong woman, Arunima certainly got shocked and it was really disbelieving for her to know that these kind of people really do exists.
She was prompt to reply to her ‘well wisher’ and even more efficient while posting the entire chat on the virtual media for people to see. She was applauded but certainly received some backslash as well.
