Dubai’s Futuristic Railway System Will Transport People In Vacuum Tubes At 1,220 Kilometers Per Hour!

Hollywood films and books have always depicted the 21st century, the 2020 year as “The Future”. We have seen flying cars, hover boards, robots doing the work, 3-D hologram technology, space travel and a lot more in the films and books, but how much of these have we invented and implemented yet?

Elon Musk once envisioned a high-speed transportation system known as the Hyperloop, which many people felt is a brilliant idea, but thought it could never be realized in actual. There are various latest technological designs and innovative visions that have been introduced to the world. High-speed travel will not be just a fantasy, it will soon become a reality.

Companies like BIG and Hyperloop One from Dubai are hoping to make Elon Musk’s high-speed travel idea a reality. Hyperloop is a very high-speed transportation system which can be achieved with a ‘Musk Electric Jet’ and ‘Vacuum Tubes’. It will reduce a two-hour drive into a 12-minute ride. The Musk Electric Jet is a supersonic jet aircraft with electric fan propulsion.

Hyperloop One, a California-based company has announced its first track will be built in Dubai in five years. Hyperloop One was in talks with Dubai, they finally agreed and done a deal with the most populous city in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). They will build a track between Dubai city and UAE’s capital Abu Dhabi.

With this advanced railway system, the journey of 150 kilometers (90 miles) which takes about two hours by car, could be reduced to just 12 minutes by Hyperloop.

The president of Engineering at Hyperloop One, Josh Giegel, said in a statement.

Hyperloop was the brainchild of Elon Musk in 2012. It gained a lot of interest from a lot of investors. Hyperloop would would transport people in pods in vacuum tubes, it could travel at lightening fast speeds of 1,220 kilometers (760 miles) per hour.

Hyperloop One explained the working of the system in its promotional video. Passengers would first need to travel to a central hub, then they would board a Hyperloop pod. Four attached pods would then travel through the vacuum tubes at a very high speed. When the pods would reach at another hub, they would be separated from each other. Each pod would be self-driving, taking passengers to their destination.

So it looks like the future is not far now, the future is almost here.
