The unfortunate incident took place in an IPL 2023 match which was played at Lucknow between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants. In the match, Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq had a brawl during the LSG innings and then after the match, they both once again got engaged in a heated argument when the players from both the sides were shaking hands with each other. Things got so heated up that LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir also got involved in this incident and he had an ugly spat with former RCB skipper Virat Kohli.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took notice of the incident and slapped fines on all three of them.

After the incident, Naveen-ul-Haq made some posts on social media which seemed to be targeting Virat Kohli and the Indian cricketer also shared a couple of cryptic posts.

Many people were interested in seeing what will happen when these two players will come face to face as they were expecting things turning uglier but in yesterday’s match when Naveen-ul-Haq and Virat Kohli faced each other, they smiled and hugged each other and buried the hatchet.

It was certainly a great sight to behold and the former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir also gave a good reaction to this incident.

He said that players fight on the field only and not outside the field and every player has the right to fight for his team, respect and victory and it really doesn’t matter which country you belong to or what your status is. The cricketer turned politician stated that first a player fights for his team, then for his respect and then for victory and dressing room and the one good thing that we have seen today is that the fight between Virat and Naveen has got over.

Gautam Gambhir also gives a message for the crowd as he says that trolling and making cheap comments on social media is not a good thing and we should also understand that Naveen comes from a country like Afghanistan and played the IPL for the first time which is a big thing for him.

Yesterday at Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi, the Indian cricket team registered its consecutive second win in the ongoing ICC ODI World Cup 2023 as it defeated Afghanistan by 8 wickets. The Indian skipper Rohit Sharma led from the front; he played a brilliant knock of 131 runs and helped his team in successfully chasing the target of 273 runs.
