The blackbuck poaching case was pending since long. Finally, the verdict is out! Jodhpur court convicted Salman Khan & has handed him a 5-year jail term.
Not only has Salman been served with 5 years imprisonment, but he is also asked to pay a fine of Rs 10,000. Tabu, Neelam, Sonali Bendre and Saif Ali Khan were acquitted because there was no strong evidence against them.
Now, the lawyers of Salman Khan would approach Rajasthan High Court for seeking bail.
If you don’t know, Salman along with others was accused of killing 2 blackbucks on 2nd of October in Jodhpur’s Kankani village. He was charged with section 51 of Wildlife Protection Act.
As of now, Salman has been taken into custody and police is taking him to Jodhpur Central Jail. Even Asaram Bapu is in the same jail.
Salman’s lawyer will try hard to file for bail today itself but looks like it may be difficult to get the bail application processed today. So Salman is most likely to be sent to Jodhpur Central Jail and he will have to spend minimum 1 night in jail before the court approves his bail application.
