Firangi was earlier scheduled to release on 24th Nov but was postponed by a week following the change in release schedule of Padmavati. Kapil Sharma and team decided to take some more time in promotions and release the film on 1st Dec i.e today.

Now that the film has finally released today after an aggressive promotional campaign, let’s see if it’s worth all the hype.

Kapil Sharma’s debut film Kis Kis Ko Pyaar Karu was a comedy and it proved to be a Hit at Box Office despite the fact that story of that film was not fresh at all. People still gave the film a chance as the comedy content worked for them.

With Firangi, Kapil has tried to explore a rather serious and romantic shade of him. No doubt, there’s comedy after regular intervals but the film also maintains a soft and serious dimension throughout.

The story is set in the period when the movement of Independence was at its peak. Kapil Sharma’s character is rather unique as he doesn’t consider British people ‘bad’ and in fact works under them. The time brings him to a stage where his ideas are challenged and even become a problem in the way of his romantic life.

Firangi’s story is fine but the screenplay remains unconvincing throughout as it hardly engages audience. There’s so much in the film and there’s hardly anything that has been able to connect with the audience really. The film, remains boring throughout, to be honest.

Kapil Sharma has given a fine performance and the actresses Ishita Dutta and Monica Gill have done a nice job too. But when the whole narrative doesn’t work, everything starts falling apart.

Overall, Kapil Sharma’s Firangi fails to entertain and comes out as a boring film.

Tera Intezaar

Source

Tera Intezaar stars Sunny Leone and Arbaaz Khan in lead. The romantic thriller brings Arbaaz Khan in lead after a long time.

Sunny Leone’s character is searching for her love Veer (Arbaaz Khan) who has suddenly gone missing. The film has romance, thrill, action and lot more to entertain you but hardly anything comes out to be successful.

The performances are week and offer absolutely nothing to keep the audience hooked.
