Danielle Wyatt, the famous and beautiful player of England Women cricket team has reached India for playing the Women’s World T20. As she came here, she was asked many questions some of which were related to Indian cricketer Virat Kohli too; she chose not to answer many of them while some she answered.

Danielle became famous in India when in the last World T20, which was played in Bangladesh, she proposed Virat Kohli on Twitter and asked him whether he would marry her! Since then, she is recognized by majority of the Indian cricket fans as she says, “85 per cent of my Twitter followers are Indians.”

When she was asked questions related to Virat, she replied, “Nothing about Kohli. Please!” However when she was asked whether she would like to meet Virat, she replied with a smile, “I have met him before!”

She further added, “I follow the Indian team and Kohli whenever they play international matches or the IPL. He batted brilliantly in the last T20 World Cup and the innings against South Africa in the semi-finals was a very good one.”

It is a bitter truth that crowds don’t flock for women cricket matches as they flock for men cricket matches but Danielle doesn’t mind it. According to her, “Maria Sharapova has millions of followers because her matches come on TV frequently. She plays tournament week after week. She has big sponsors. It’s nice to have followers on social media and interact with them, but I don’t worry too much about the popularity.”

Till now she has played 36 ODIs and 62 T20s and feels that T20 is the crowd puller. In her words, “Though earning a Test cap for England is one of my dreams, I think only T20 can attract more people to the ground. We had about 12,000 to 14,000 people turning up for the Big Bash League in Australia and it was fantastic. This year, we are going to play the English T20 Super League in some of the big grounds back home. I hope that brings a lot of crowd.”

Danielle loves Indian cuisine too but her most favorite is the masala tea. As per her, “It is amazing. I have it every day here. They use special spices here and I don’t get it back home.”
