Bollywood is certainly not going through good times as of now since many big budget movies are falling flat on the box-office and the makers are not able to understand as to what wrong they are doing. However, it hasn’t affected popularity of big actors of the industry as their fans are still in love with them just like old times and they want to know each and every detail about their favourite celebrity. What’s more, not every successful actor here started his/her career in acting itself and had to do some other jobs as well before getting their big break in Bollywood.

1. Rajinikanth:
The Indian actor who is known as Superstar Rajinikanth by his fans is one of the greatest celebrities of all times and enjoys a huge fan following all over the world. His original name is Shivaji Rao Gaekwad and he was told to change his stage name by Tamil movie director K. Balachander in order to avoid confusion with another actor Sivaji Ganesan. Before getting a chance in movies, Rajinikanth worked as coolie and then as a bus conductor in Bangalore Transport Service (BTS).
2. Kiara Advani:
Kiara’s real name is Alia Advani but she changed her name to Kiara because at the time of her entry in Bollywood, Alia Bhatt was already a famous actress and she didn’t want any confusion in regard to names. The actress made her Bollywood debut in 2014 and before that, she worked in her mother’s pre-school where she used to take care of kids, teach them, play with them and also changed diapers, if needed.
3. Ameesha Patel:
The actress who made a grand debut with Hrithik Roshan in “Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai” used to work as an Economic analyst in a securities firm before entering movies.
4. Vicky Kaushal:
Vicky Kaushal is making people go crazy with his superb acting and he worked as an assistant director to Anurag Kashyap before making his debut in acting.
5. Jacqueline Fernandez:
The beautiful actress who has recently been in news because of conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar is from Sri Lanka and has won Miss Universe Sri Lanka 2006. However before entering the Sri Lankan modeling industry, she worked as a TV reporter.
6. Boman Irani:
The actor entered the movie industry quite late and before that, he used to work as a waiter and room service in Taj Mahal Palace & Tower. Apart from that, he managed his mother’s bakery and namkeen shop as well. Boman Irani also worked as photographer and though earlier he used to sell sports photos (school cricket and football matches) for just Rs. 20-30, later on he went on to click photos of international boxing matches and boxers.
7. Ayushmann Khurrana:
Ayushmann Khurrana is touted as one of the most versatile actors of the industry and he worked as a radio personality before taking part in the reality show MTV Roadies in 2004. He won the show and subsequently started anchoring in TV shows. He made his movie debut in 2012 with “Vicky Donor” which was a huge success on box-office. Ayushmann is also a singer and many times he sings songs in his movies.
8. Sonakshi Sinha:
Daughter of famous actor Shatrughan Sinha made her debut opposite superstar Salman Khan with “Dabangg” in 2010 for which she also won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. She is a graduate in fashion designing, volunteered as a designer for fashion weeks and also worked as a costume designer for many movies before entering the film industry.
9. Ranveer Singh:
The superb actor who mostly makes news for his clothes and recently made news for being without clothes worked as a copywriter in an advertising agency before making his debut in movies.
10. Soha Ali Khan:
Though she is surrounded by actors in her family yet her acting career was not much successful. Soha worked in banking sector before making her debut in acting and she has worked for some big names such as Citi Bank and Ford Foundation.
11. Akshay Kumar:
The Khiladi Kumar is in the movie industry for more than 30 years now so we are pretty sure that you must be knowing about his past jobs but still let us tell you that the actor did various jobs before his Bollywood debut. Akshay Kumar whose original name Rajiv Hari Om Bhatia worked as a chef, waiter, worked in a travel agency in Kolkata, sold jewellery and became a martial arts trainer as well.
