The development level of a country can be assessed by taking a look at the education system of that nation and there is no doubt that educational institutes of India are now trying their best to provide world-class education to their students.

It is a proud moment for the country as total six institutes have secured place in the top 100 B-Schools of the world in the rankings done by the Financial Times for Masters in Management (MIM).While University of St. Gallen, Switzerland has secured the topmost position in the rankings, HEC Paris has been ranked as the second while University College, Dublin, is at the third place.

If we talk about the Indian institutes, the good thing is that there are three Indian institutes in the top 50 ranking – IIM-Ahmedabad is leading the Indian institutes as it is at the 26th position while SP Jain Institute of Management & Research is at rank 29 and IIM Bangalore is at rank 47. The remaining three Indian institutes in the top 100 are IIM-Indore (79), IIM-Lucknow (79) and IIM-Udaipur (82).

The FT rankings have been made on the basis of many parameters such as school diversity, research, alumni progress, etc.

Hopefully, the Indian institutes will improve their rankings in the next year as well. What’s more, it will certainly increase the interest of foreign students in the Indian B-schools and will also improve the image of students of these institutes in foreign corporate world.
