The former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir is known for his aggression and there have been a couple of occasions when he has shown middle finger to the crowd when they have instigated him by chanting the names of Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni.
Currently, the cricketer turned politician is a part of the commentary panel of the Asia Cup 2023 and he once again showed middle finger to the crowd during India’s match against Nepal when he was walking out of the commentary box. A video is going viral in which Gautam Gambhir is seen walking, some spectators start chanting names of MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli and then Gautam Gambhir shows middle finger to them and walks away.

While everyone felt that Gautam Gambhir got irked after hearing the names of Kohli and Dhoni because of which he made this gesture, GG took to social media and cleared the air by saying that he made that gesture to those who were talking about his country and not to those who were chanting the names of Indian cricketers as he loves cricketers of his country.

Gautam Gambhir also speaks to media about his controversial gesture and says that whatever has been shown on the social media platforms is absolutely false. He added that there were 2-3 Pakistanis who were shouting anti-India slogans and he just reacted naturally because if someone speaks against one’s country, then that person just can’t smile and leave, he will certainly react and this is how he reacted because he just can’t hear anything against his country.
As far as the match is concerned, India won the rain-affected match against Nepal by 10 wickets and now it has entered the Super Four stage.
