Gautam’s Tweet Is Missing “I” & Fans Say It’s For His Absence In Ind-WI Series. Here’s Real Reason

The Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir often makes headlines for one reason or another, despite the fact that he is not a part of the Indian squad for a long time; however the good part is that he is in news mostly for good reasons.

Gautam or Gauti, as his friends and fans call him, is very active on social media and recently, he surprised his fans when he made a tweet regarding the India-West Indies first one day international match that is being played today. In this tweet, the alphabet “I” was missing from all the words and he concluded his tweet with the word #MissingI.

Here is what he wrote,

“nd a w ll f ght West nd es n the f rst OD game today. W ll the v s tors spr ng a surpr se? We w ll f nd out soon. #MissingI”

If you did not understand Gautam’s tweet, this is what he wanted to convey:

“India will fight West Indies in the first ODI game today. Will the visitors spring a surprise? We will find out soon. #MissingI”

People started saying that “I” is missing from the tweet of Gautam Gambhir as he is missing from the team and the same thing people said for the cricketing expert and commentator Harsha Bhogle as his tweet also didn’t have the alphabet “I”.

Harsha Bhogle wrote,

“Cr cket s a sport wh ch requ res more than phys cal strength. Your bra n must also be act ve all the t me. od ne s very cruc al for ch ldren dream ng to play for nd a one day. #MissingI”

This is what he actually wanted to tweet:

“Cricket is a sport which requires more than physical strength. Your brain must also be active all the time. Iodine is very crucial for children dreaming to play for India one day. #MissingI”

This is how fans misunderstood Gautam’s tweet:

However, the truth is that the tweets by Gautam Gambhir and Harsha Bhogle have been made with reference to “Global Iodine Deficiency Disorders Prevention Day” and the alphabet “I” refers to “Iodine”, not the cricketing legends.

Iodine is a mineral that is needed by human body for making thyroid hormones which are responsible for the proper functioning of body’s metabolism as well as perform some other important functions. They are also required for the correct development of bones and brain during the pregnancy and infancy.
