A girl from Howrah, West Bengal has lodged a complaint against her lover in Patna’s women police station alleging that her lover has made her victim of Love Jihad.
As alleged by the girl, Asif Iqbal coaxed her into his trap of love, then he married her and converted her to Islam. But it did not end here and after conversion, Asif forced her to make physical relationship with his friends.
The victim told that she came into Asif’s contact through social networking website Facebook. Subsequently, they started talking on phone and in the meantime, she fell in love with him.
Asif called her to meet him, so in January she came to Patna. First they met in a restaurant and after that Asif took her to a hotel nearby Mithapur bus stand where he mixed some intoxicating stuff into her cold drink.
After the girl drank it, she lost her consciousness and availing himself of the situation, Asif made physical relationship with her. What’s more disgusting is he also recorded the entire happening.
Girl returned to Kolkata unaware of the fact that she has been cheated. After some days, Asif started blackmailing the girl on the basis of the video and started forcing her to marry him otherwise he would made the video public.
The girl was scared and came to Patna once again where Asif tied knot with her with the help of a maulvi. However, the marriage had no authenticity as there was no witness and no custom was followed properly. They started living like husband-wife; however, Asif kept the girl in hostel or somewhere else but never took her to his house. During this tenure, the girl also got pregnant but he made her abort the child.
One day when Asif’s phone was switch off, the girl went to his house in Phulwari Sharif but Asif’s family members didn’t let her enter the house and told Asif to bring her after only she becomes a Muslim completely.
He took her to a Madrassa in Harun Nagar so that she can learn Muslim ways of living the life. After living in Madrassa for some days, she got converted into Muslim and then the man started forcing her to make physical relations with his friends. When she refused, he took her back to Kolkata on 24 April and since then he has not contacted the girl.
The girl has filed a case against Asif, police has arrested Rizvi Hasan and Faizal (family members of the accused) while Asif is on the run. Police is also on the lookout for the maulvi who helped in the forced conversion of the girl.
