The Player of the Match was Glenn Maxwell who played a blistering knock of 120* runs (55 balls) and helped his team in posting a mammoth total of 241/4. The visitors tried their best to chase the target but fell short by 34 runs. After the match, Glenn Maxwell also talked about the late-night pub incident in Adelaide after which he was hospitalized. It is being said that Maxwell indulged in late night drinking session which had adverse results.

Maxwell stated that he knew that he had a week off but that incident and its timing was certainly not ideal. He said that more than him, the incident affected his family.

Glenn Maxwell was also happy that this visit to Adelaide was a positive one and he scored a century as well. He further said that he has come with his parents as well and he had some cursed visits to Adelaide with his parents also coming over a couple of times. Maxwell stated that last time they tried to visit Adelaide, he broke his leg so this is good that this visit is a positive one.

The 35 years old Aussie cricketer also talked about the remaining T20I games that his team has before the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. He said that they know that they have only 4 international T20s before the World Cup so he just wants to ensure that he is in a good space before the tournament.
