Glenn Maxwell smashed the fastest century in the history of the ODI World Cup as he played only 40 balls to touch the three digit mark and helped his team in posting the total of 399/8.

Glenn Maxwell dedicated his century (106 runs, 44 balls, 9 fours & 8 sixes) to his newborn son Logan Maverick Maxwell and wife Vini Raman who recently arrived in India and were present in the stadium when Maxwell scripted history.

While speaking to broadcasters, Glenn Maxwell expressed happiness over the fact that his family was in the stands to see his efforts.
