The match wrapped up smoothly and Carolina bagged the gold medal. However, Indians kept appreciating Sindhu for being the 1st woman Silver medalist at Rio Olympics 2016.

Now amidst all this, Marin has revealed something, which might surprise you. She said P V Sindhu tried very hard for making Marin lose her focus. Marin says

“She didn’t want to change the shuttle because she wanted me to lose focus. It was little bit slow and sometimes you have to control everything on court.”

Further she adds that

“However, I was prepared because I knew it would happen. I didn’t get really annoyed. It’s all part of the game.”

This is strange since it was Marin who got warnings from the umpire because she had no control over her screaming. However, she was firm on her statement that Sindhu kept playing mind games.
