Google Celebrates Mangalyaan’s One Month Anniversary at Mars

Google is popular for its creative artworks called Google Doodle, this time it amazed the Indian & the worldwide users by marking Mangalyaan’s One Month Anniversary on Mars.0925-mangalyaanThe Mars Orbiter Mission is India’s first interplanetary mission. It was launched on November 5, 2013 from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh with the powerful Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) The mission was approved by the Indian government in August 2012 and was executed in 15 months at a cost of Rs. 450 crore ($74 million).
Finally on September 24, Mangalyaan entered the Martian orbit. India became the only nation to achieve this in the first attempt and the lowest cost.  A popular fact that was that the Hollywood Movie Gravity, which was made in $100 Million USD while our Mars Misson costed just $75 Million USD, making the quite economical,ISRO sees the Mars Orbiter Mission as one of its major achievements, and its scientists and others now believe it is possible to aspire and dream about higher objectives in space science.The aim of Mangalyaan is to explore the surface features, morphology and mineralogy of Mars, besides the Martian atmosphere with the help of indigenous scientific instruments.Google doodles, which began in 1998, depict famous and lesser known notable people, events, anniversaries and tributes.
Google has done a number of doodles on a variety of Indian subjects, including marking the country’s Independence and Republic Days, the festivals of Holi and Diwali, the cricket World Cup and the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Rabindranath Tagore.
