Here are the results (in hours, minutes and seconds):

Now as we can see, using Microsoft’s Edge can reduce the battery consumption by almost 70%  if we compare to Chrome and the company has also stated that for non-video applications (net surfing, opening sites, checking emails, reading articles, etc.) the Edge can last 36-53% more than other browsers.

To prove their point and make users believe that Edge is the best browser, Microsoft has published data that has been received from millions of Windows 10 PCs. Company states in a post, “We designed Microsoft Edge from the ground up to prioritize power efficiency and deliver more battery life, without any special battery saving mode or changes to the default settings.”

Microsoft has now added support for extensions in its latest Windows 10 as it lacked the support for extensions earlier and it was one of the biggest complaints made by its users.

Presently, Chrome has 45% market share while Internet Explorer has gone down to 38.6% in May from 41.37%.
