Greg Chappell Talks About Highlights Of Irfan Pathan’s Career After Irfan Took Retirement

Irfan Pathan, the 35 years old Indian cricketer, took retirement from the International cricket recently. He started his career as a pace bowler but slowly impressed everyone with his batting as well.

Irfan who was known for his swing bowling is one of the most loved cricketers of his time so it was quite difficult for his fans to believe that they won’t be seeing their favourite cricketer on the field anymore. What’s more, it is quite certain that Irfan must have taken this decision with heavy heart.

Irfan is also one of those players who were in the team when Greg Chappell was the coach of team India. After Irfan’s retirement, Chappell also chose to talk about Irfan and he said that Irfan was a courageous and self-less player and he was happy to play any role for the team.

Talking to a leading daily, Chappell said that Irfan proved himself a good all-rounder and he performed quite well in ODIs. In Test matches too, he played very well and just missed his century against Sri Lanka in the match played at Delhi in which he scored 93.

However as per Chappell, the highlight of Irfan’s career is the hat-trick that he took in Karachi test match against Pakistan in the first over.

Well, certainly many other former cricketers and fans also believe that the hat-trick which Irfan took against Pakistan in the first over of the test match is something they will never forget. What do you say?
