Gurpreet Singh Sandhu Hails Fans For Their Support After India Holds Qatar In FIFA Qualifiers

Indian Football Team played a historic game last night in Doha against the Asian Champions Qatar and managed to hold them to a draw 0-0 at the World Cup qualifiers. The men in blue became the only Asian team to not lose against Qatar in 2019.

No matter the result was a draw, but yesterdayโ€™s match will be cherished by the football enthusiasts for a long time because of the way team India fought till the last 60 seconds and it helped India to secure their first point in the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifiers.

The star footballer of Indian football team our captain Sunil Chettriโ€™s wasnโ€™t part of the last match even that didnโ€™t stop the team from roaring. Indian ace goal keeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu was given the armband of the captain. Gurpreet single-handedly changed the game with his magnificent skills and didnโ€™t allow the Qataratis to score a single goal.

After the match captain Sandhu said, I am extremely proud of our team the way we fought till the last-minute they pulled off a brilliant performance against Qatar. The team effort helped us achieve the result, itโ€™s going to help us a lot in the qualifiers.

Gurpreet also thanked the fans for coming in huge numbers to support the men in blue, he said, We had incredible support away from home and that helped us throughout the game.

Sandu further said, I believe everyone played their heart out and gave everything on the field thatโ€™s why it was possible to return to the dressing room with a smile on our faces.
