We talk about gender equality & empowerment and we understand that it’s really important for our nation’s growth. But it’s also true that most of the men don’t like when a woman earns more than them. It gives a rude shock to their ego which they’ve maintained over the years.
Even if a man comes ahead and says that he’s fine with the fact that his wife earns more than him, he has to go through all the taunts of society.
An incident which happened recently tells the story how a woman is always made to compromise her talent and growth for the sake of her man’s ego. Just an ego.
A Twitter user recently live-tweeted the conversation of a couple which was about why the girl should not take the promotion. The guy was trying to convince the girl to cancel her promotion because he’ll be humiliated in front of the society if they’ll know that his partner is earning more than him.
