As per Portadown Times, a customer subtly called Chef Babu and gave him the tip for magnificent food and service. Luna Ekush, the owner of “Indian Tree”, the restaurant, who purchased it 16 months back, said that the customer who gave the tip is from Portadown but presently, is living in foreign land due to business reasons.

In the words of Luna Ekush,

“Whenever he comes home every few months and lands at the airport, he phones to see if Babu is cooking and comes here for his first meal with his wife. The night he left the tip, he told Babu that words weren’t enough to express his appreciation of the food and so he wanted to leave the money as a gift.”

The tipper also sent an email to Luna:

Before getting shifted to Northern Ireland, Luna was in England and this is the biggest tip ever received by her. As per her, all the credit goes to Babu and it will encourage him a lot.

Luna added,

“He is the selling point for the restaurant. It is a big boost for him, and the rest of us.”

That’s indeed a big boost, isn’t it?
