Harbhajan Singh Hits Out At Inzamam-Ul-Haq For Claiming He Was Ready To Convert To Islam

Pakistan is a country which is formed on the basis of religion so it is quite obvious that for them, Islam is more important than anything else. There have been few instances when the Pakistani cricketers are seen promoting their religion and trying to convert other people. Recently former Pakistani cricketer Inzamam-ul-Haq made a claim that Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh was almost ready to convert to Islam.

In a video which is going viral, Inzamam-ul-Haq is seen talking about the time when team India was on a tour to Pakistan. He said that they had a room for Namaz where the Pakistani cricketers used to read Namaz and after a day or two, they invited Irfan Pathan, Zaheer Khan and Mohammed Kaif for reading Namaz with them. Inzi added that 2-3 other Indian cricketers also used to accompany them and they used to listen to Maulana Tariq Jameel who used to come and read Namaz with the Pakistani cricketers.

Inzamam-ul-Haq further said that one day Harbhajan Singh said to him that he wants to follow what this man (Maulana) says. In response, Inzi said to him that he should follow if he wants, what is stopping him. Harbhajan Singh said that he wants to follow what that man says but he stops after seeing him (Inzamam) because his lifestyle is very different from what he tells.

The video clip was posted by an X user and it was captioned as, “Inzamam ul Haq revealed how Harbhajan Singh was close to converting to Islam after meeting Maulana Tariq Jameel, who used to come over and read Namaz with the Pakistan Cricket Team.”

Soon Bhajji reacted to this matter and he slammed Inzamam-ul-Haq in a harsh manner as he wrote, “Yeh kon sa nasha pee kar baat kar raha hai ? (Which drug he has consumed before saying such things?) I am a proud Indian and proud Sikh.. Yeh Bakwaas log kuch bi bakte hai (these stupid people say anything)”

Well, Harbhajan Singh is quite friendly with the Pakistani cricketers and on few occasions, he has also asked Indians to donate for poor Pakistanis so that they can get some help and because of this reason, many online users trolled Bhajji and said that it is difficult to believe him.
