Comedian Sunil Grover may have become more popular after playing the character of Gutthi in comedy show “Comedy Nights With Kapil” but his son didn’t want him to play that character. And this was revealed by none other than Sunil himself. In reply to a question about Gutthi, he said, “Gutthi was never a woman for me. She has always been a character.”
The family members of the comedian are extremely proud of him and when he was asked as to how his family handles his popularity, he said, “My family is overwhelmed with my success though my mother gets worried at times as she has become busier because of me”.
Sunil is father to a lovely 6-yr old boy Mohan who didn’t want his father to portray Gutthi as his friends in school always teased and bullied him because his father played a female character. Sunil then took his son out with him to make him realize that he is loved by public because of Gutthi’s role. Mashoor Gulati is the character which is loved by Mohan the most.
Sunil also talked about his mentor Jaspal Bhatti, who is no more in this world but Sunil feels that he is very fortunate as he got the chance to work with Jaspal Bhatti.
