It can easily be called as one of the biggest wins as RR defeated KKR by 9 wickets with almost 7 overs remaining in the RR innings.

The young Indian cricketer Yashasvi Jaiswal stole all the limelight after smashing the fastest half-century in the history of the IPL as he reached the fifty runs mark in just 13 balls. 21 years old Yashasvi Jaiswal remained unbeaten at the score of 98 runs for which he played 47 deliveries and his innings included 12 fours & 5 sixes.

Even the BCCI secretary Jay Shah made a tweet praising Yashasvi Jaiswal which is making people feel that the young Indian cricketer may don the blue jersey soon. This is what Jay Shah wrote, “A special knock by young @ybj_19 for hitting the fastest IPL fifty. He has shown tremendous grit and passion towards his game. Congratulations on achieving history. As far as the match is concerned, the toss was won by the RR skipper Sanju Samson and he chose to bowl first. His decision was proven correct by the RR bowlers as they restricted KKR at 149/8 in 20 overs. The highest scorer for KKR was their impact player Venkatesh Iyer who scored 57 runs (42 balls, 2 fours & 4 sixes) but other than him, no batsman was able to play a big innings.

Yuzvendra Chahal was the most successful bowler for RR as he took 4 wickets in his 4 overs and gave only 25 runs, while Trent Boult took 2 wickets, KM Asif and Sandeep Sharma shared 1-1 wicket each.

RR had a great start to batting as Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed 26 runs in the first over of the RR innings which was bowled by the KKR skipper Nitish Rana. Though Jos Buttler got out for a duck, Yashasvi and Sanju Samson (48 runs not out, 29 balls, 2 fours & 5 sixes) ensured that their team ended up as the winner.

This was certainly a breathtaking innings by Yashasvi Jaiswal, wasn’t it?
