We all know that Maharashtra is going through severe water crisis and it’s one of the reasons due to which farmers are committing suicide. Unquestionably, there are other causes too for such pathetic condition of Indian farmers but dependence on monsoon for farming and their disability to repay the loan are the major ones.
Nana Patekar, the veteran Bollywood actor was so touched and saddened with the plight of farmers that he decided to help the widows of farmers and take steps in order to stop farmers from committing suicide. In fact, Nana was so distressed that he started crying in a TV interview while talking about the condition of farmers in Maharashtra.
Nana Patekar along with Makrand Anaspuri, who is a Marathi actor, has founded an organization which they have named NAAM Foundation. The purpose of this foundation is to help farmers financially. You too can help the poor and needy farmers by donating whatever is possible.
