Having a blue tick on one’s Twitter handle used to be a very big thing few years back, it not only authenticates the user and gives him the tag of verified but it is also seen as a status symbol because it’s not easy for everyone to get this blue tick and it is very costly as well.
However, things have changed after business tycoon Elon Musk took over Twitter and now anyone can take the blue tick subscription by paying $8 per month but today #Bluetick is trending on the micro-blogging site as the blue ticks from the accounts of various celebrities such as Virat Kohli, Babar Azam, Cristiano Ronaldo, Donald Trump, Bill Gates, Salman Khan, Rohit Sharma, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Shraddha Kapoor, Kapil Sharma, etc. are missing.
This happened because Elon Musk had already announced that the legacy blue checkmarks would be removed on April 20 and it gave a chance to netizens to have some fun as watching celebrities without blue tick is totally a new experience for all of us.

Well, one thing is for sure, Elon Musk has brought everyone on the same level by removing legacy blue checkmarks and by bringing the policy of blue tick subscription. Now these celebs will need to buy this blue tick subscription if they want to get a blue tick.
