After Gurmeet Ram Rahim was imprisoned for 20 years under the rape charges, all eyes were on Honeypreet Insan who was said to be the mastermind behind the violence in Chandigarh and surrounding areas.
For most of the time, she remain on the run and police constantly tried to locate her whereabouts. It was just earlier this month that she surrendered and police started a direct investigation.
Honeypreet then accepted the allegations of inciting the violence and shared that she was the mastermind behind the riots which caused several deaths.
Soon after accepting the allegations, she was moved to Ambala Jail till Oct 23. And now as per the latest reports, Honeypreet had a very uncomfortable first night in the prison.
As per TOI reports, Honeypreet has been kept in a high-security women cell and she had a sleepless first night there. It has been reported that she even skipped her dinner.
As per the sources, Honeypreet also requested authorities to let her meet Gurmeet as soon as she arrived there but her request was not accepted.
During her medical checkup, she complained of ill health and higher pulse rate, migraine and body ache.
After a panel of three doctors from the Ambala civil hospital checked her for more than two hours, her condition was stated as stable.
One of the doctors from the panel, Dr Arpita Garg said-
“She was completely healthy and her condition was stable. Her pulse rate might have increased due to stress.”
