This Indian Gymnast Did The Most Dangerous Vault & Got Qualified For The Olympics #Proud

India is at the second position when it comes to population but it is at the bottom of the awards tally in the Olympics. Gymnastic is one of those games in which Indians have hardly made any name but the situation is changing now with the entry of Dipa Karmakar in Indian Gymnastic.

Dipa is just 22 years old and she is all set to represent the country in gymnastics at the Rio Olympics. She has done something which no Indian woman gymnast could do till now. Dipa won a medal at the Commonwealth Games held in Glasgow which was the first time for any Indian woman gymnast. She also participated in the finals of the World Championships (2015).

Her talent is showcased by the fact that she is one of those five women gymnasts who have made a successful landing in the very popular but at one fell swoop, probably the most difficult Produnova vault and getting the top score. The difficulty level of Produnova vault can be understood taking into consideration the fact that a wrong landing can break the spine of athlete.
