Chennai Super Kings is very well being led by Dhoni; he is a calm and cool captain and always thinks about the comfort of his players.
His game playing and team strategies are just amazing. In CSK’s game against KKR, Ravindra Jadeja didn’t perform nicely at all. He gave 39 runs and dropped 2 consecutive catches of Sunil Narine.
After his poor performance, people trolled him left and right. Some thought that Dhoni would not spare him. However, nothing of that sort happened.
After that match, Jadeja revealed that Dhoni is indeed very cool and he handles defeats casually without scolding anyone.
He said,
“Whether we win or lose, we never blame each other. The entire team is responsible for victory or defeat. That’s the mantra of CSK. Mahi bhai hamesha kehte hain, hum haarenge bhi saath mein aur jeetenge bhi saath mein (Dhoni always says we will lose and win together). He injects confidence in us. This motivates us a lot”
By revealing this, did he mean that Dhoni didn’t shout at him at all after that match but instead, boosted confidence?
Now we know why Jadeja performed so well in the next match against RCB, wherein he gave just 18 runs and took 3 wickets.
Team-boosting is very much necessary and Dhoni knows it really well, don’t you agree?
