The senior Bollywood actress and politician, Jaya Bachchan is known for her short temper and there have been quite a few instances when we have seen her getting engaged in arguments or fights with mediapersons as well as fans.
Recently, she got upset during a session in the Rajya Sabha when Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh addressed her as “Shrimati Jaya Amitabh Bachchan”. She said to the deputy chairman that only Jaya Bachchan would have been enough and in response, Singh said that he read what is officially written in the records.
After this, Jaya Bachchan stated that something new has started nowadays that women should be known with their husband’s name as if they don’t have any achievements or identity of their own.
She said, “Ye jo hain kuch naya tarika hain ki mahilaayen apne pati ke naam se jaani jaye. Unka koi astitva nahi. Unki koi upalabdh hi nahi hain, apne mein aur astitva nahi hain. Ye jo naya shuru hua hain, I just…”

Presently, Jaya Bachchan and her family became the topic of discussion when she along with her husband Amitabh Bachchan, son Abhishek Bachchan, her daughter Shweta and her kids arrived separately from Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan.
